Supporting Multi-process and Multi-threaded Programs

When debugging multi-process, multi-threaded programs, you often want to simultaneously see the value of a variable in each process or thread. TotalView can display the variable either across processes or threads, Figure 11.

If you’re debugging an MPI program, the Tools > Message Queue Graph Window graphically displays the program’s message queues.
