File > New Debugging Session

The Start a Debugging Session dialog is the initial dialog of the Sessions Manager.

In addition to launching it from either the Root or Process windows, it is also the entry point into TotalView when you just enter

totalview

into your shell.

From this dialog, you have access to the various dialogs that configure any type of debugging session.
