Installing on Microsoft Windows
Before installing the Client, TotalView must already be installed on your Linux or UNIX system. The Client file, contained in your remote_display directory, is named TVT_RDC_Installer.release_number.exe. To use the installer:
1. Either copy the exe file to your Windows system or place it in a location that is directly accessible from your Windows machine.
2. Double-click on the installer exe file to launch the client setup dialog.
3. Click the Next button and follow the instructions on the displayed screen. As with many Windows applications, you are asked if the installer should create an entry in the start menu and place an icon on your desktop.
