Editing Text

You can change the values of fields in windows or change text fields in dialog boxes using the field editor.

To edit text:

1	Click the left mouse button to select the text. If you can edit the selected text, TotalView displays an editing cursor.

2	Edit the text and press Return.

Like other Motif-based applications, you can use your mouse to copy and paste text in TotalView and to other X Windows applications.

You can also manipulate text by using Edit > Copy, Edit > Cut, Edit > Paste, and Edit > Delete. If you haven’t yet pressed the Return key to confirm your change, you can use the Edit > Undo command to restore information.

Usually TotalView dives when you click your middle-mouse button on something. However, if TotalView is displaying an editing cursor, clicking your middle-mouse button pastes text.
