TotalView supports the popular parallel execution models MPI and MPICH, OpenMP, ORNL PVM, SGI shared memory (shmem), Global Arrays, and UPC.
You can start a parallel debugging job either from the GUI or directly from a shell, depending on your environment, parallel program, and preferences. For example, if you are debugging an MPI program, you must invoke TotalView on mpirun in a shell, rather than using the GUI.
