PART IV Accessing TotalView Remotely
Remotely debug your programs, using either the TotalView UI or a standalone client:
Set up remote debugging connections from within the TotalView UI.
Use your TotalView UI to directly connect to another server running TotalView. This option allows you to seamlessly run remote debugging sessions without requiring an external client, and provides you access to all of TotalView’s debugging tools as if you were running TotalView on a local machine.
Run TotalView using the external Remote Display client.
The client is a standalone application provided in the TotalView installation that connects to a remote server running TotalView. It requires that the remote TotalView instance be configured to receive batch queued jobs; it does not provide access to the TotalView UI itself.
