Find the Host ID
When you install TotalView, in most cases, the installer places the toolworks_hostid script in <installdir>/toolworks/totalview.<version>/bin. For macOS installations, the toolworks_hostid script is found in /Applications/Perforce/totalview.<version>/TotalView.app/Contents/bin.
To obtain host information, run the toolworks_hostid script, as follows:
Linux/Unix:
<installdir>/toolworks/totalview.<version>/bin/toolworks_hostid
macOS:
/Applications/Perforce/totalview.<version>/TotalView.app/Contents/bin/toolworks_hostid
NOTE: Do not use the UNIX hostid command.
This script writes the host name and one or more host ID values to standard output; for example:
The host name for this machine is: fast-server
The FlexNet Embedded host ID for this machine is: 0050569b1835
The FlexNet Publisher host ID for this machine is: 0050569b1835
The Reprise host ID for this machine is: 0050569b1835
